Project Seraphim

The Seraphim are regarded in Christianity as the angels of the highest order, they worship God in his throne room and are also the angels of purification. The Seraphim occurs in Isaiah 6 in the Bible, the prophet here got a vision of God’s court and sees God sitting on his lofty throne, surrounded by Seraphim. The number 3 also plays a major role in this story and the concept.

 

The angels have a mysterious appearance, they are most often described as beings similar to humans, but they have six wings. They use two of their wings to cover their feet, two of them to cover their head and the other two they use to fly and serve God. They cover these parts of the body to express their humility before God, they also do this to show God reverence: they consider themselves unworthy to look at the face of God.

 

This project represents the Seraphim, in which both the mystery and the holiness yet humility are incorporated in various details, fits, fabrics and accessories. The music made for this project also connects to the story and concept of the Seraphim. The number 3 has also been incorporated into every aspect of the clothing and the music.
